"I am hoping that the back pain stays away if I keep up the regular exercise."

Sasha Perriam (31) from Groesfaen has suffered from regular bouts of back pain for the past two years. Her doctor has recommended light exercise to help deal with the problem. She continues to keep active in the hope this will ward off any future problems:

"When I have suffered back pain in the past I have kept active, even though my pain has been really severe. I am used to regular walks with Dino my Dalmatian, so carry on with these even though it hurts."

Although she believes that sitting at her desk is not helping her with her suffering, Sasha hasn't had to take time off work as a result of back pain:

"I try to take regular lunch breaks and walk around the office making tea, which helps my back and makes me quite popular with my colleagues!"

Sasha recently started swimming and pilates.

"I am hoping that the back pain stays away if I keep up the regular exercise."

Back injury is a very common problem, which in workplaces can often be avoided by simple changes to job design, the right training and the right equipment.
I enjoy regular gym activity as well as horse riding and golf, and try to keep as active as possible.
